What is the Omakase Box?
Sourced from our home in Hokkaido, the Omakase Box is our chef's selection of the finest seasonal, sashimi-grade fish — hand-picked at market and shipped directly from Japan. "Omakase" (お任せ) means "I'll leave it up to you," and that's the idea: we choose the best catch of the season so you don't have to.

Because it follows the market, the contents change with the season — you're getting whatever is at its best the week it ships, chosen by hand. It comes in two sizes: a Standard Box of about 6–7 lbs that serves 10–12, and a Small Box starting from 3 lbs. A good fit for a special occasion, a dinner party, or a table that wants the best of what Hokkaido has that week.

How to enjoy

Serve the selection as sashimi or sushi — slice against the grain, keep everything cold, and plate it as a spread for the table. Thaw any frozen items in the refrigerator before serving, and use raw preparations the day they're opened. Because the box changes with the season, treat it as a tasting of what's best right now.

Pairing notes — soy and wasabi, ponzu, warm sushi rice, pickled ginger, and a dry sake.

About this box: A chef's selection — exact contents depend on what's best at market that week, and may be fresh or frozen depending on the catch. Keep cold on arrival, thaw frozen items in the refrigerator, and use raw preparations the day they're opened. Pre-order; ships from Hokkaido by UPS Overnight. Any transit damage should be reported to the carrier directly.
