What is Ogawa Uni?
Ogawa (小川) is a Hokkaido uni producer whose trays appear at high-end sushi counters. This box is their AAA-grade Bafun uni in the Obako (大箱) format — a large 300g tray, in its natural orange color. Bafun uni is the smaller of the two main Japanese varieties, known for concentrated flavor and depth of umami.

How we choose your Uni

Every morning after the catch is shucked, the owner of the producer picks the trays himself. Our staff in Hokkaido then checks each tray against the specifications of your order before it ships, and the box travels directly to your doorstep in the U.S.

How to enjoy

Serve it as sushi, sashimi, chirashi, or gunkan maki wrapped in nori. Keep it chilled in the refrigerator and never in the freezer. Your uni arrives fresh and chilled, ready to serve.

Available by pre-order. Processing usually takes 7 to 10 days after you place your order. Once your order arrives from Japan, it ships within 24 hours via UPS Next Day Air, with delivery from the first drop to early afternoon.
