What is OTOKO BUSHI?
OTOKO BUSHI is premium Honkarebushi — Female Flank "Melting Bonito" from the renowned Kakurasaki area of Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan. Crafted through a traditional process spanning half a year, this Female Flank (from the belly side of bonito) offers a richer, fattier texture and deeper umami than the Male Flank counterpart. Use a bonito shaver to thinly slice it into fresh katsuobushi flakes for dashi, or use as a topping for salads, tofu, noodles, or incorporated into dressings. Vacuum-packed to preserve freshness.
