What is Fresh Mi Sansho?
Fresh Mi Sansho (実山椒) from Kyoto is the prized berry of the Japanese prickly ash — harvested during its brief May–July season and celebrated for its vivid citrus aroma and signature tongue-tingling spiciness. Kyoto-grown Sansho is considered among the finest in Japan, used in preserved dishes, pickles, simmered recipes, and as a garnish for Unagi and grilled meats. This 500g fresh/frozen pack captures the peak of the season's harvest.
