What is Kushi Unagi?
Kushi Unagi (串鰻) is fresh skewered Japanese eel from Aichi and Shizuoka, Japan — traditionally reserved for restaurant use and now available for home delivery. Unlike pre-cooked Kabayaki, this Unagi is shipped fresh and uncooked, allowing you to grill it to your exact preference. Each eel weighs approximately 350g and serves 2 people. Unagi is a beloved seasonal delicacy in Japan, especially during the Day of the Eel (Doyo no Ushi no Hi), traditionally served over rice in a donburi bowl.
